Media fascism in Oregon: if we can't keep you from reporting, we'll attack you

What I quote and link here looks like a fine example of what I regard as MEDIA FASCISM. It's a war, low and thuggish, with words. Cynical, insincere, knee-jerk, insulting, unfounded, and bitter words.

As the FreedomWorks writer, Jeff Reynolds, opens his post: "This is not a story about policy or legislation. This is a story about journalism, and the all too cozy relationship between 'reporters' and the public officials they're supposed to hold accountable."

 Various media outlets -- blogs and mainstream media -- are shown trying to marginalize a writer mostly to maintain a status quo that suits them, and to mock . 

I'd call it unprofessional, but that's laughable. It is shameful. It shows us, once against, that today the one group it's OK to discriminate against is non-Democrats. As evidenced by clumsy work by the Oregonian and some blogs, it is OK to skew the truth against Republicans, conservatives, Tea Party activists, Constitutionalists, and traditionalists. It doesn't matter what the facts involved are.

Explains Jeff (my emphases): there was "a coordinated smear campaign has been waged by blogs, mainstream news outlets and national columnists against the [citizen] reporter who verified and reported the story. I was famously labeled "the most irrelevant man in Oregon politics" by the progressive blog, Blue Oregon, in a story critical of the original report. Of course, four subsequent stories have been devoted to Mr. Irrelevant by that site - along with a news story in the Oregonian, two columns in the Oregonian (one of which was corrected and then retracted)."

 Do the world a favor: Don't accept as insurmountable fact the problem that most "journalism" today is ruled by a poorly educated, biased, unobjective, agenda-touting pack of needy, acceptance-craving, insular leftists. I refuse to. I refuse to believe that the Information Age that is soaking us in will not recover from information overload, or disinformation overload.  

MEDIA is no longer practicing, with regularity, the work of journalism, certainly not objective reporting without editorializing in what should be "hard news" stories. Here's a very good example of that.

JCPenney, Sears Respond to Christian Complaints Over 'SNL' Skit 'Djesus Uncrossed'

Here's my take: this is not a mocking. It is a bit of cultural and religious humor. Tasteless and harmful to some, yes. I don't think Jesus is suffering for it. HE's bigger than all that, and my belief in him is much bigger than to be hurt by this skit.

Here's my beef: Jesus is bigger than a silly skit. And, Jesus coming back and taking no heat from anybody is awfully funny to me. I love him and his teachings, and this skit seems funny to me as described (I didn't see it).

'SNL' is a bunch of ants compared to Christianity. If they did this will ill intent, then they may get what they deserve.

I believe that God, and Jesus, can take care of themselves. It's us who have to get thicker skins about some dopey humor.

House averts financial disaster!! Congress passes budget, err no, a damn 'funding measure'

House passes funding bill, Obama reaches out to Senate - REUTERS:

By a vote of 267-151, the House passed a measure to fund government programs up until the end of the fiscal year on September 30. The Democratic-controlled Senate is expected to pass a similar bill next week.

Without such legislation federal agencies would run out of money on March 27.

So, President Obama, when's your budget come out so it can receive NO VOTES from even your party again, you clumsy, hyper-political, campaigner-in-chief, big gov-loving, weak, lead from behind clod? Oh, sorry, I should respect you to respect the office. Oh wait, you have little respect for the office (aside from the gross, media-propped, power of manipulation it gives you, you Founding Fathers-despising statist).

FemiSex, 2012 post: Trayvon Martin tragedy includes the misogynist cultural cues he learned

The killing of the black teen, Travon Martin, in Florida is very sad, both for the Hispanic male who shot the teen and the teen shot. Where the blame lies is not for this site to decide but for the authorities. That said, here is where we come in: Travon Martin, per his twitter tweets was one sad sack misogynist. We don't know if racism was what felled Travon, but surely sexism was his trade. He sounds like a modern day KKK for women as he blasts out horrific sexism to his followers.

Barack Hussein Obama came out and said: "If i had a son he'd look like Travon Martin."
Not really Barky, but he would most likey sound like him.

Sexism has been very very good to Mr. Obama and not once has he denounced sexism. The time he did speak up, (against Rush) it was to USE sexism to gain political points for himself. Time for a shower.

Meld this: 'I am not a dictator'

The sequester is getting attention for sure, but two other comments by President Obama at a brief news conference Friday are likely to have a long shelf life.

First, the president announced he is not a dictator.

Then Obama disclosed he could not "mind meld" with Republicans to force a sequester deal, though it appears he mixed his science fiction metaphors.

"Most people agree I'm presenting a fair deal, " Obama said. "The fact that they (Republicans) don't take it means that I should, somehow, you know, do a Jedi mind meld with these folks and convince them to do what's right."

Alas, the Vulcan Mind Meld is the property of Star Trek's Mr. Spock (a character Obama has been compared to, oddly enough).

The Jedi, of Star Wars fame, used "mind tricks" to get people to do what they want, according to numerous science fiction geeks who flocked to Twitter after the president's remarks.

Even the White House got on the Star Wars joke, tweeting out a picture of the president and advocating his budget plan with the caption, "we must bring balance to the Force." The White House also gave a shout-out to Mr. Spock, saying: "To Deny The Facts Would Be Illogical."

Spock himself -- also known as actor Leonard Nimoy -- weighed in, more or less defending Obama by tweeting: "Only a Vulcan mind meld will help with this congress."

The Atlantic website reports that Obama "shatters his nerd credibility" -- which strikes us as a good thing.

The president had made the same point earlier when he told reporters he couldn't force the Republicans to agree to a new budget deal.

"I am not a dictator," Obama said. "I'm the president."

He added: "So, ultimately if Mitch McConnell or John Boehner say, 'we need to go to catch a plane,' I can't have Secret Service block the doorway. Right?"

Who says this: "I am not a dictator. I'm the president."

I mean, who WOULD say such a thing? Someone whose ego and self-love is mountainous, one who teases himself with the idea that he should be a dictator. A benevolent dictator. That'd be fine. With him. And, obviously, plenty of poorly informed citizens of the United States (not to mention all those fans overseas).

Obama has confirmed -- if you want to use that term rather than 'woefully explained' -- that he also is not an emperor. On multiple occasions.

I think it's clear to everyone that Obama WISHES he could avoid all this make-believe compromising he's doing. Changing the goal posts, pretending he's a centrist when he's a statist, pretending he's "post-political" when he's created more divisiveness with his words than any president I can recall since radio was invented.
